Dear Yuletide Writer,

First of all, thank you in advance. I'm glad to have someone writing for me and am super excited to see what you're going to come up with. ♥ To make this whole thing easier, I guess I'll try and describe what I like about fics in general.

Things I really like are: hurt/comfort, angst with happy endings, and canon AUs. I love to see how things can change with the framework/comparison of the actual canon. Different but not too different, I guess! I like exploring characters' insecurities and stuff and you know, resolutions.

The whole earn your happy ending thing is my favorite. It's like, I love angst but at the end of the day, I read fics for fun so....

Anyway, as for do not wants; I'm not a big fan of incest or maiming unless there's a specific reason for it. Absolute bad ends are also not what I want to see with my current requests ~~though, obviously, depending on fandom I read them...~~

And I'm not a big fan of modern-day AUs or AUs that change the whole world settings/structure/and just basically strip it of most canon elements (world-building etec) to create different canon with familiar names. If you think you can pull it off though and still capture the main essence of the canon and what makes it click, go for it!

英雄伝説閃の軌跡 | Sen no Kiseki | The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (Video Games)

So, to start, I'm a CrowRean shipper through and through. And what I really enjoy seeing are like canon AUs? And knowing what happens in CS III and certain specific plot points with Rean, I think what I would love to see is something that changes things around with canon but also how things like CrowRean still falls into place.

Like, what if Rean decided he wanted to take a gap year and fish around Erebonia instead of going to Thors, how does that affect the plot especially with that literal ticking timebomb of a plot device his ogre mode is. Does he meet Class VII still? Or does he end up doing something else entirely? Does he end up working for the Erebonian government at some point, what does he do during the civil war?

That kinda thing is what would really interest me.

I picked Elliot and Machias in my tags here because I find I really like their dynamics with Rean, so having them around would be nice too.

It doesn't have to be specifically what I've suggested, but I think I just really like canon AUs/what-ifs and if you find that you have something in mind like that, I want to see!

Scumbag System (Donghua)

I think for Scum Villain- excuse me, Scumbag System, what I want to see is LiuShen. For me, I would love to see how this retelling makes LiuShen more appealing? Like one thing I noticed about the donghua is how a lot of the 'development' between Shen Qingqiu and Liu Binghe is really truncated to major plot points. Like the novels at least handwaved time skips to imply there were *some* favorable development there and from my view of the donghua, I found that there was a lot less.... leaving Liu Qingge and Shen Qingqiu to shine together!

Mind you, I do ship Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu primarily, but for this exchange and I really want to see LiuShen. With, of course, the stipulation that Luo Binghe isn't necessarily villainized or painted in a bad light to get the ship.

Undestandably, as of this request's writing the show isn't finished yet? But I trust you to give me something nice. I also wouldn't mind if it's heavily sprinkled in angst, UST, and pining. :D Make LiuShen suffer a bit....

Tales of Xillia

I went back and forth on whether to request this or not. It's been so long since I last played Tales of Xilla but seeing the tag set reminded that there is one thing I really like to see in this fandom: Gaius/Jude.

I think I'd love to see how Gaius' position/work affects their relationship post both canons? What the relationship leads to and not just relationship-wise, but how does that benefit the world with Gaius being the hard-working ruler that he is and Jude being well, a scientist?

How does Milla fit into all of this? And are there any risks or dangers involved in dating the world's most powerful man (which, you ask, is up to you to decide)?

Or, actually, does Rieze Maxia/Elympios have gossip mags that follow this development?

魔道祖师 | Módào Zǔshī (Cartoon)

I think what I want to see for this request is a Jiang Cheng-centric fic possibly? I'm a big fan of canon AUs and how about what if Jiang Cheng had his way in the donghua and a lot of the plot beats favored Jiang Cheng? Things like, what if it was him and Jin Ling who were at Mo Manor, much to a certain someone's dismay.

I ask because I love how much more caustic donghua Jiang Cheng is compared to the Untamed version of him. Like the novel obviously has the same take, for the most part, but the donghua seems to take it on another level. Like, as a viewer, I got a feeling after S2 that the big thing Wei Wuxian is hiding from Lan Wangji is the fact that Jiang Cheng straight up killed him in this adaptation. All that because the additions in the donghua really seem more raw and angry. (Obviously, it might be the classic "Jiang Cheng didn't kill me ok i'm just sadfacing" in that episode, but up to you to decide on that.)

*Obviously* I'm a big fan of Jiang Cheng eventually reconciling with Wei Wuxian eventually, but I love his anger, I love his complicated feelings. And I feel a lot of people lean too much into their brotherhood and assume they're absolutely family, when I've always thought their relationship was a bit more complicated than that. Does Jiang Cheng care for Wei Wuxian, what are the limits of his "brotherhood"; these are questions I find myself asking constantly because, while I love Jiang Cheng/Wei Wuxian redemption fics, it feels like cotton candy sometimes.

I guess what I want is a breakdown of that relationship and logic that shit as to how Jiang Cheng can reconcile with Wei Wuxian. I need proof, absolute proof, that this asshole cares for Wei Wuxian and doesn't want him skewered on a pike without leaning into the easy they're brothers uwu and have always cared for each other deep down uwu.

Anyway it doesn't have to be my suggestion! But what I'd really love to see is just, you know, Jiang Cheng and his complicated feelings towards Wei Wuxian.
